Hi Everyone! We arrived at the mission late Tuesday night after a long and bumpy bus ride. We hugged some of the sweet orphans that had waited up for us, pitched our tents, ate dinner and then headed to bed around midnight.
Today was our first day of ministry. Our team partnered with One Life team and held VBS camp for the orphans. It went really well as we taught about one of the promises of God— “God hears us when we pray!” The kids had a blast playing minute-to-win-it games and good discussion is small groups. We got to spend a lot of quality time with the kids today playing bubbles and learning the memory verse in Creole. Tomorrow we are doing VBS again and then having a BINGO tournament in the Gran Moun elderly home. Everyone is healthy and bug-bite free so far. We are thankful and appreciate the continued prayers!!
